Problem with my Nokia and computer

I can't seem to get any of the Nokia software to work on my computer. I
tells me the phone is not plugged in. However if I try using Oxygen phone
    manager it works fine.

I do have the Phone manager for my old Ericsson phone on my Control panel,
but the software itself is not in there anymore. I just can't get the icon
and corrisponding information out. Any ideas?

from Ebay. I have the Nokia 6340i, and I am not sure what version of PC
    Suites.

Just looked at it again. Looks like the cable is a Nokia made one. Plus the
    software is version 4.75

May be not original Nokia cable.
By the way, what the software do you need except Oxygen Phone Manager II?
It covers almost all functionality ;-)
