I don't know much about the specific model codes. Is the ACP-7 compatible
with all Nokia phones? I thought you have to have the charging voltage
higher than the battery voltage to achieve charging?
I'm not trying to argue a point here, I'm just trying to improve my
knowledge of such things...
The chargers I have are:
ACP-7X 3.7V 355ma (Rapid Charger that came with 7110, now called "Standard
Charger" on Nokia's site)
ACP-8X 5.3V 500ma (Travel Charger that came with 6310i)
ACP-8X 5.8V 450ma (Travel Charger that came with 3310)
ACP-12X 5.7V 800ma (Fast Travel Charger that came with 7250i)
Although the to 8X chargers are slightly different in output, they still
both give out the same wattage so it's probably just the label that's
different rather than the internals.
According to the compatibility chart at
http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,5184,5996,00.html I can use all of these
chargers with my old 7110. That's quite a voltage and current range.
The difference between a travel charger and non-travel charger is that the
travel chargers seem to accept a variety of input voltages and frequencies,
obviously to allow you to use them abroad.
I suspect, "Fast" is faster than "Rapid" (due to higher energy output).
So there you go...

*** ACP7 seems the most compatible with nokia phones today - the 5110 wont
charge properly with any other charger as i have found out earlier this
year....and its a 3.6V battery AFAIK... not that sure because its an
aftermarket 5110 batt

*** well, my (probably smuggled..ahem) 3310 came with ACP8U (and a UK
convertor) with silkscreened white lettering on black plastic... its 5.3V
500mA
| ACP-12X 5.7V 800ma (Fast Travel Charger that came with 7250i)
*** ACP9 and 12 - perfect for giving an old battery a "boost" ...hehe

*** its a good feature, but the problem is some places use different
plugs...then u'll need a converter ..
