Hi, I just downloaded the AvantGo application to read their subscription
content on my 3650. I have Bluetooth and the PC Suite for the 3650, which
AvantGo says you need. I thought I understood that AvantGo would download
the actual content thru my desktop PC, and then deliver (sync?) it to my
3560 via my Bluetooth/PC Suite. I picked a few subscriptions, and it said
"syncing" or something on my 3650. I assumed the info was coming from my PC
via the Bluetooth connection, however when I checked LOG on the phone, it
occured to me that it actually downloaded about 1 MB via the phone's
Internet/mMode connection, not my PC's. What did I do wrong, or is this
normal? I thought the very idea of AvantGo was to download pages to your PC
and then Bluetooth it to your phone to view later, thus sparing you using
precious expensive KB's and MB's via the phone's connection. Thanks,

    Dan

Their documentation is a bit misleading, I suppose. The application
will use the phone's data connection for getting its data. Depending
on your plan, this can chew up a lot of usage, hopefully you're covered
by what was downloaded. PC Suite isn't actually needed at all, except
to get the application onto the phone. (Typical anti-Mac bias from
those folks, but that's a whole different thread...)

What you'd really want to do is set your phone up with a new access
point that will use bluetooth to communicate with your PC to share it's
internet connection. Since you mentioned PC suite, I'm assuming you're
running under Windows, so this link should help a bit:

For you Mac folks out there (like me), check this link for the
Share2Blue2th scripts (left side under Downloads) for some good scripts
to share your Mac's ISP connection.

Great way to save on a data plan.
