I've recently had to change the chassis of my 8310 as one of the many times
I dropped it, it didn't bounce - resulting in cracking the mounting points
for the screws near to the microphone and charging socket. Anyway new
chassis purchased and all the internal gubbings transfered across without
any problems. However, now if I ever remove the battery, the time and date
are lost and the phone prompts me to enter them when switched back on again.
It didn't do this before. Have I dislodged a back up battery on the circuit
board somewhere? I must admit to not seeing a small button cell, but can
remember there was one in an old 5110 I once pulled apart.
Any suggestions?
Mike.

near the middle right of the front keypad, not sure where the 8310 battery
fits
