Hi
Has anyone got the gprs settings for nokia 6600 on vodafone in uk.
I have been searching for these for over a week now with no success.
Vodafone don't have 'em, nokia don't have 'em, yet vodafone are advertising
the phone as fully vodafone live.
Peaple have claimed to get gprs working on their 6600 but no-one has given
any settings that actually work.
Can anyone help me please?

Re: gprs settings for 6600
Hi
Already tried customer care, website, nokia customer services, nokia website
plus numerous forums. It seems to be a problem across all networks. It is a
pure wap 2 phone so i need a proxy address and port number in the settings
but no-one seems to have them yet.
Vodafone say it is because the phone was released too early before the
networks have got the settings for it but other people have stated that they
have gprs working on their 6600's.

Re: gprs settings for 6600
Man, use 7650's settings and place the IP where it says Proxy in 6600's
Advanced Settings. Now, regarding the port of the Proxy it is usually 80...
but for that I'm not sure.
Cheers.

Got this working on o2 and 6600 - settings at
http://www.filesaveas.com/6600wap.html
Should just be a case of replacing o2 settings with Voda settings at
http://www.filesaveas.com/wap.html

Re: gprs settings for 6600
Well I must be dumb, cos I used the www.filesaveas.com settings on Vodafone
and can access my email account, browse via Opera but I'm damned if I can
open the built-in browser for WAP.
Any ideas? TIA.
