Been going over the redesign of the site, and for the most part, like it a
lot better than the prior version. It does load up faster, and has a cleaner
look.
From the first page, SPCS now can remember the password, so one does not
have to type it in, after plugging in the telephone number.
One can go into the "My phone & plan" page, and see their AA expiration
date.
SPCS has simplified the sign up process for new users, in how the plans are
shown.
There is a bit of confusion when looking over the unlimited PCS to PCS
option for each phone, when checking each phone number separately. One of
phones doesn't show the unlimited PCS to PCS option, where it should be
showing. In saying that though, when pulling up the info on current usage
for that phone number, it does show unlimited PCS to PCS. Methinks that it's
a glitch with the new website design.
Speaking of PCS to PCS, on one screen I reviewed earlier under Account
summary, individual information it showed unlimited PCS to PCS for the
primary phone, and 500 minutes PCS to PCS on the secondary phones ...
Another problem, when viewing the account balance information, under the
Account Summary, is that this same phone shows $0.15 in Vision charges,
which shouldn't show up, as Vision should apply for 2 of my phones. The 3rd
phone on the account is a pre-3G phone.
When sending an email to SPCS, on that charge, SPCS no longer gives an
incident number on the email.
All in all, it looks like SPCS still has to do some additional fine tuning
on their site, but I like what I see so far ... especially the quicker times
to load pages.

As a follow up to the email info above, I received an email back from SPCS
confirming my email within 1 minute of sending it to SPCS, and the email
included an incident number.

I think the changes are awesome except the coverage maps are still the
same outdated maps with no change in design or size. You would think
they would want to show Camp Pendleton along the I-5 in CA as having
coverage now but it still shows it with nothing.

As far as I can tell, the site DOES NOT remember your password,
unless I'm missing something (I think I remember that it once did). It'll
remember your number, which for a while it did not.
Another thing they haven't fixed is the accuracy of the "plan
details". For example, my plan shows me having 300 anytime minutes and
that's it. In fact I have 450 plus 500 pcs to pcs. These latter are called
"bonus" I believe (in SPCS parlance). I'm billed properly, of course, and
the information is complete and accurate if I click on "Current Usage". The
bonus stuff does show up there.
A minor point, I suppose.

Yes, it does. It remembers mine just fine.
Check your browser settings. In MSIE, look under Tools ---> Internet
Options ----> Content tab ----> Personal Information. Click on the Auto
Complete button, and make sure that the "User Names and Passwords on Forms"
option is checked.
With this option enabled, once you've entered your phone number and password
and have specified that you want Windows to remember the password, you
should be able to just double-click on the phone number field, select your
phone number, and see the password field filled in.

Well the *site* has never forgotten your password.
Else you'd never be able to log in at all.
But now it invokes the feature of your browser to insert your password.
Of course, if you have chosen to *not* have your browser do that,
such a choice overrules the default setting.
Could that possibly explain the behavior David noticed?

Re: New SPCS web design - Likes & Dislikes
Its great that they now show the expiration date of "Advantage Agreement"
contracts. Wonder how many extra support calls that may generate from folks
that disagree with whats in Sprint's computers.
Just when PTT is released and as WLNP is starting, one thing SprintPCS doesnt
need to do is generate extra support calls.
One thing I can't find now. Previously I easily found where to get my SprintPCS
email to forward automatically to another email address. Maybe its me, but I
can't find such a place now. And upon double checking at 6 AM EST, I don't even
see Email anymore, maybe they're working on it, and we're all alpha testers for
the new website.
One of the great pluses of SprintPCS's website has been its ability to let you
track your minutes used, usually only a day behind. It still has many
situations where it doesn't work, which SprintPCS has listed.
==========
Please note-these are estimates of your actual usage and may vary for a number
of reasons, including:
Recent account activity may not be included. Estimates for shared minutes
plans, PCS to PCS calls, roaming calls or data usage may not be entirely
accurate or available. If you are a new user who hasn't received your first
invoice, your displayed usage may not be entirely accurate until your next
invoice period.
==========================
Web Programmers need to fix those omissions. They also need to get the Web
pages to look identical regardless of browser used. Text overlaps pictures in
some. Their web authors need to visit:

One thing I do not like is that it no longer breaks down the
phones by single or dual band.

It's listed under "My Online Tools". Simple enough to see on the welcome
screen.

Whoa! I hadn't noticed that. There should *at least* be=20
an option for viewing that, I'd think. I'll see what I can=20

Those are the settings. However, after inputing my number and
password I was never asked whether I want Windows to remember the password.
It does remember my number from session to session. Perhaps it is because
on this computer I'm running Windows 95.
