Just as I posted 2 weeks ago (Mainly from info found on www. sprintpcsinfo.com)
SprintPCS after having the info not prominently displayed on its website on
Nov. 16, on Nov. 17 announces it's "ReadyLink". As of 7 AM EST on Nov. 17 it is
still not listed on the front page of the web site, although the Press Release
    is now 1 hour old.

    http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/031117/nym064_1.html
    is the Sprint Press Release.

    Head to Las Vegas:

Sprint will be conducting live demonstrations of PCS Ready Link at Comdex in
Las Vegas on Nov. 17 - 20, 2003, at booth number 11064. For more information or
to sign up for PCS Ready Link, customers can go to Sprint Stores, contact their
Sprint business sales representative, call business telesales toll-free at
1-877-459-8166 or go to www.sprintpcs.com. The new service will also be
available through indirect business channels including the PCS Business
    Solutions Program.
    =======================
The similar Verizon phones (called PTT - Push to Talk) have received mixed
reviews due to their much longer latency than Nextel, and their poor battery
    life.
Based on the fact that SprintPCS is using VoIP technology like Verizon, it is
expected that SprintPCS's product will be more like Verizon's than Nextels.
    Time will tell.

Based on what I'm seeing with phones in our lab, it's *is*=20
VoIP, but *not* like Verizon. The phones battery indicator=20
barely moves during an 8 hour shift, and they *are* being=20
    used.

Obviously, these phones aren't very mobile within a call=20
center, but 4 seconds, usually, to connect, and 1-2 second=20
lag within a conversation... Verizon's dead meat. *Might*=20
even give Nextel cause to look twice.

There's an interesting business plan out there, too. =20
$45/month for unlimited Ready Link, and no voice minutes,=20
with voice at $0.20/min if you do use it. I think Nextel=20
has a plan like that, too. But with us, you can set up RL=20
groups nationwide. I think Nextel allows you to DC=20
nationwide, but groups have to be within your "local" area.
