    I hope so, John. But I've found nothing on it so far.

    Are not the Hitachi G1000 and Toshiba 2032 both windows based?

    They run on the pocketpc platform. The Samsung runs a mobile edition made
    especially for phones. No touch screen, stylus etc.

    I'm not up to date on all the differences, but the=20
    Smartphone edition is supposed to be an even more compact=20
    version of Windows, basically.

    I wish they would just make the Samsung i500 with an SD expansion slow and
    we'd be good to go....otherwise that is a sharp phone.

    Big nod to both of you. The i500 is so close to great that=20
    it annoys me even more that those were left out.

    "compact" == crippled

    most astoundingly Smartphones do NOT have a touch screen. So to
    compose an email on the SCH-i600, you must punch keys like crazy.
    You cannot scribble notes or drawings on the screen. To select web
    links from a browser, you must click arrow/nav buttons rather than point.
    Also the SCH-i600 is NOT tri-mode. No AMPS.

    Give me an I500 instead.
