    Hello...

I bought 2 vga 1000's -- on one of them, the flip open option
plays the sound correctly as well as the little noise when you hit the
"back" button. Now on the other phone, neither sound will play.
However, a little hissing screech can be heard when the sound is
"supposed" to play. You have to liten real close however -- i have
played around with it, and i noticed that for a few seconds after
opening the phone, the volume meter, when movied up and down, doesnt
click -- that means that there is SOMETHING playing in place of the
flip open sound -- and it's overriding the other sounds.... in other
words, the flip sound is playing -- but it's corrupt -- or at least
playing a "blank" audio sound. I have reset the phone, and removed
the battery -- nothing yet. Since it's new, should i just take it
back and swap it for another vga 1000 - or is there a solution? I
will wait until the nuymber is ported though -0- because when the esn
is in pending status, they can activate the new one...

    Thanks,

    Chris

Chris, as it's a new phone, you should take it back and at least have the
tech look at it. You should probably bring in both units to show the
difference and the problem. If he/she can't fix it, ask for them to swap it
    out.

So, you are moving your numbers to SPCS? Which service were you on
previously? I'm sure all of us would like to hear how the porting of numbers
went, the length of time, etc.

    Thanks, Bob
