Here's something I just thought of.

Does Sprint PCS' mechanism for determining whether a call is PCS2PCS
    take into account ported numbers?

For example, if I call someone who has ported a number from another
carrier to Sprint, will it count as PCS2PCS? And the reverse: if
someone has ported OUT of Sprint, will a call to that number NO LONGER
    count as PCS2PCS?

If a number is ported to SPCS, then that new number is registered as a
SPCS number, just as if SPCS bought a new block of numbers for new
customers. So, in theory, you "should" not experience any problems.
Now am i saying it will work flawlessly? Nope, in fact i bet there
will be glitches, like if you call a newly ported number within 24
hours of porting, all the systems necessary to bill correctly might
not have been updated. In addition, if you call a newly ported number
in another part of the country, or on a SPCS affiliate, it may take
longer for all the billing to come out right. Just be sure to get
detailed billing and then if something bills incorectly, you'll have a
paper trail to back yourself up.

Yes. We can watch such calls using a more "internal"=20
number we call an MSID. =20

Yes, and yes. Same reason as above.

BTW, someone in the know may realize I'm not being=20
technically accurate about the MSID. I'm not trying to be=20
wholly accurate, just to paint a picture more or less=20
    understandable.

    I work for SprintPCS
    I *don't* speak for them.
