Any opinions on the Nokia 3588i phone? No web access, but for those
like me that neither want nor need web access in a cell phone, it
seems to work quite well.

Plain vanilla, the color screens and polyphonic ringer are a touch more
class than the 3585.
Works fine, (should) last a long time !

It's a good phone for the price (free if you activate a new line).
Seems to get good reception, has decent sound quality. No vision
though, which is fine if you just want a phone, but since even
downloading ringers and graphics require Vision, you can't really
customize it beyond whatever's built into the phone already. It would
also be nice if the SMS worked... Sprint still needs to launch MO-SMS,
and to use short mail, you need (of course) Vision.
In short: a good bare-bones phone, but I *stress* that it truly is
bare-bones.

Re: Spint Nokia 3588i
nearby store has never had a phone of this model EVER pass in the HP
tester.....many won't even turn on....removeable faceplates and back come
apart and break (if you look at them sideways).........
lots come in with rubber bands around them so they don't fall apart on the
floor........
this is from a rep i know there..........

Re: Spint Nokia 3588i
We have 27 of them for all of the salespeople. Mine was dropped off of a
balcony. They are all working and all work well. I don't think there is
any comission on them as the local stores try not to sell them
Mine is durable and keeps on working. Love the phone.
