USB cable for Sanyo 4900

I'm trying to get my phone numbers from Outlook into a new phone. I recently
did this with a Sony Ericson phone from AT&T and it was a breeze. Walk out
of the store with a serial cable, download a program from SE and it's done.

Sprint is afraid people will purloin interet use if they have a cable, so
they quit selling them. It wouldn't surprise me if this is part of Sprint's
problem with Bluetooth.

On the website, there is software, with no description, and the text says
"requires data cable, sold seperately". A good way to waste 1.5 hours is to
call Sprint and ask them about the cable. One lady searched her database and
decided I need an ND-1000 (a phone Sprint sold three years ago), or maybe
Ready Link.

The lady at the store suggested Sanyo.com, but I don't see anything there.
She also claimed that no one ever asks about doing this.

Any tips or recommendations?

Yes. Buy a cable. Futuredial makes one, which is available from most
Radio Shack locations. Also buy the Snap Sync software to sync your
phone book with Outlook. Also consider getting a cable from other
sources. I just ordered one from an outfit on eBay for about eight
dollars that has the ability to charge the phone from the USB port - a
major benefit for the Sanyos as the data connection and the power
connection are one and the same on most models.
