    Some one posted last week that possbily esn change charges were going
    away, yet once more time---If that is true, will those of us have to
    relieve our "pent up" "esn change frustrations" from over the past few
    months when they seem to have been charging for such changes.(You know
    how much fun it is to trade handsets, so that we can get on these
    forums and ask important questions about stuff)

    This is one more of those little needless frustrations with sprint
    which makes me want to divorce them; orginally it was free, then there
    was a charge, then there wasn't--are they "female" or something (sorry
    girls) but everyone knows a woman has a right to change their mind,
    but on some of these things, like this it would be rather pleasant to
    know it was alway either free, or some minor charge, rather than $36
    freeking dollars---it's like the ridiculous "activation" charge---just
    how much time does it take to type in an 8 digit number into a
    computer.

    As I have mentioned before, they have got to hire extra people to
    think up stuff like this.

    Let me get this straight. Sprint is no longer going to charge for ESN
    changes, or make you sign a new agreement, and you're complaining? I guess
    it's true, some people are only happy when they have something to *****
    about. Would you like me to see if maybe Sprint can charge just you, so you
    can remain a satisfied customer, happy in your unhappiness?

    You are porobably not really female, but just a guy having fun with my
    post-great--but if you are female, and agreeing with the up and down
    change, you are making my point (grin)

    My point is that if they could keep the same policy for longer than a
    blink of an eye, it would sure help---I enjoyed changing phones
    whenever the hexx I want to and I don't like being surprised (screwed)
    when I am doing so, that suddenly they have reinstated the not only
    inane policy of charging far too much for an esn change-----yes, I am
    happy it's now no charge, but for how long; this is at least 3
    instances they have changed their policy, and have never to the best
    of my knowledge, given any reason for it. It's just screw you, we
    don't like you anyway. Like someone else posted, how could one reason
    giving away a $36 service fee for free, or even worse the reverse of
    suddenly charging $36 for something that had been free the day
    before---why not make it a consistent charge of say $5 or $10 and keep
    it substancially the same.

    In any case, let's enjoy if for the next 2or 3 months till again, 30
    seconds of work is suddenly $36---it would also be nice if the online
    esn changer would work like verizon's does.

    If I remeber correctly, an existing customer can qualify for equipment
    discount based primarlily on how long the current phone has been in
    use(have to have same phone for I believe 18 months)--so if you have
    had service for maybe 2 or 3 years, never getting a discount for a 2nd
    phone from sprint, yet you have done an esn change(s) for whatever
    reason, ie, you and your wife exchanged phones, you bought one from
    ebay, etc--then you don't qualify for the $150 discount--there would
    appear to be more gained (for sprint) for giving away the almost
    "no-cost" esn change, but not allowing the $150 phone discount --there
    may be some discussion as to the true cost of the esn change, but it
    is quite easy to calculate the out of pocket cost of the $150---also
    allowing the free esn changes for a peroid of time (which has been the
    pattern) wipes out a lot of the customers who would qualify for the
    $150--then after a certain peroid of time, re-instate the esn charge,
    to gouge extra fees --and then we do it all over again.
