I'm interested in buying a Treo 600. I'm not too keen on paying $600 for it.
Just got a new 2 year contract back in July of this year so I wouldn't be able
to get the rebate. Nor am I interested in changing numbers or siging up for a
new plan -- don't think I could do any better than what I've got now - 2
phone, 2000 anytime minutes, etc. $100 / month.
If you order the phone from Handspring it looks like you have to get it before
1/31/2004 for the $150 rebate. Does this mean there'll be a change afterward?
I've looked on ebay and the phones go for $500 to $550. Not much of a savings
for the risk IMHO.
So, are there any other creative ways to get this phone for a decent price?

On the 24th, I saw on eBay a sale of serial numbers from dead and
canabalized Treo 180s. The motivating factor was that this would permit you
to buy from Handspring with a $200 upgrade discount. At the time I looked,
the individual price was about $43.

While I know you mentioned a price of $550 from EBay, I just bought mine
from Best Buy for $550.
