Here's a link to an article about the survey:
http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cg...UG8K44PPS1.DTL
In the San Francisco Bay Area, the rankings were:
Consumer Reports' latest survey of major carriers in the Bay Area:
Overall satisfaction score* and change from 2002 survey
Verizon Wireless 73
Fewer failed calls, busy signals.
AT&T Wireless 64
Increased circuit problems.
Sprint PCS 61
Fewer circuit problems.
Cingular Wireless 60
No change.

Over the years I've found some blatant inaccuracies in Consumer
Reports about products and services I'm personally very familiar with.
I'm not sure I'd trust them with too much, although these particular
ratings appear to be close to the mark.

What a poor excuse for a troll.
"In the San Francisco metropolitan area, Verizon Wireless ranked
highest in terms of quality of service, followed by AT&T Wireless,
Sprint PCS and finally Cingular Wireless, the survey reported."

Re: New Customer Service ratings of Cellular carriers
So SprintPCS was still in the bottom two, as the OP reported.
What's your beef?

The "bottom two" were specifically cited "everywhere" as=20
Sprint PCS and AT&T. In fact, BOTH of them are higher than=20
claimed.
He's done that so often and so consistently that no one who=20
knows doubts it anything but malicious.

I work for SprintPCS
I *don't* speak for them.

Re: New Customer Service ratings of Cellular carriers
I have no faith in consumer reports or jdpowers findings. The
only thing I find them useful for is to come up with good
question/categories to do my own comparisons.

Just what a dumb SprintPCS apologist that refuses to accept the facts
would say.
SprintPCS Customer Service has rated last by both for 2 years now.

Consumer reports basically said this is a low level of "satisfaction"
and only Cable TV providers rate as low as Cellular carriers.
Makes sense. They each hook you up, and then just want you to be a piece
of cah flow, and dont dare have a question or complaint, cause we cant
afford to help you.

Damn- I knew it. Its good old Phil, The Sprint PCS Village Idiot. Hey, did
you see the preliminary numbers of adds and churn for the 4th quarter- looks
like portability didn't smack them like you guaranteed it would. And that
stock price- up over six bucks. Thought you said they were in financial
ruin? And wow- I see a bunch of posts over on the ATT group *****ing about
all kinds of problems and the horrible customer service and hold times. Too
bad you didn't take that killer retention deal you were boasting about- oh
yeah........they didn't give you one. That's why you switched.
So, now you are posting links to a survey of less than 0.05% of the total
cellular customer base in this country, that is accompanied by an article
that could have been written by you- the author had no clue about the
mechanics of the industry or the regulation behind portability. In fact, he
ends up looking pretty dumb. Do you work for Consumer Reports?

May I add, I have no faith in consumer reports or jdpowers
findings on *any* product/service, not just Sprint PCS.
