I will be vacationing in Hawaii soon and was wondering about cellular
service in Maui. Does anyone know if our Sprint will work. I really have no
idea.

Re: Service in Hawaii
Yes, Sprint has service over parts of Maui. Enter Zip code 96761 on
www.sprintpcs.com for a coverage map.

Re: Service in Hawaii
VERY VERY spotty in Maui. The radio station I work for has a bunch we got on
a "trade-out" and when we did remotes from Lahaina half the time it wouldnt
ring, dropped calls and wasnt dependable at all...Good luck!

Re: Service in Hawaii
I've used it with no problems at all in the Kihei area of Maui.

Re: Service in Hawaii
To read many previously posted Maui reception reports, use Google groups
advanced search:
http://www.google.com/advanced_group_search?hl=en
In the "with all of the words" field, enter "Maui"
In the "Return only messages from the newsgroup" field, enter
"alt.cellular.sprintpcs"

Re: Service in Hawaii
For the main populated areas, I'll agree. During a drive up to the north
side of West Maui, we eventually lost coverage, but otherwise, we had it up
and down West Maui, in Kahului, and up on the road to Halekala. That was
almost a year ago, and at the time, there was no coverage on the road to
Hana if I remember correctly.
