Headset recommendations anyone?

I have a Sanyo 5300.
I am looking for a headset with these qualities:
(my wishlist)
> Comfortable (on either ear)
> Good sound
> Great pickup
> But good resistance to wind noise, popping
> Private (that is others cannot hear too!)
> Good cord length
> Durable

I am looking for recommendations from people who have used particular models
for a while...
-or- from store personnel who know the models well!

My uses will be:
- Home
- Car

Basic rule of thumb : "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR".

Ergonomic factors guarantee that what one person may like, another won't.

Do you want one ear or two, over the Ear, around the ear, in the ear,
boom mike?, Extra Long boom?? There are all kinds, and what works fine
for one person may be very annoying to another.

Go to a high end cellular accesory store and try them out. Some of the
ones Staples or Office Depot sell for land line phones will also work
well with a cell phone.

Ole Phillipe provided some good advice ... I have a 5300 and use a Jabra.
Seems to work ok for yours truly and for the party I'm speaking to.

I just use the litle 19 dollar sprint one. The turbo button allows me to
call people and hang up . Great for driving

I have used the little jabra's for the last few months--they are
available on ebay for nothing and I have bought several of them to
keep in various places; the reception volumn is almost too lound on my
5400---the mike could be better in a noisy enviromnent, but work
fairly well-but I have to talk a little louder than I would like..

I really like the ebay prices, some as low at a $1.00 plus
shipping(which gets cheapers if you get 3 or 4 of them)

We get a lot of training kits in the stores, so we get to try a lot of
them out.
Cord lengths are all roughly the same, long enough to go from your
waist to ear, with about a foot (or so) of slack.

The Bodyglove "Pro" headset (black over the ear, no boom mic) is good,
but LOUD, I'd have to take it out of my ear a bit sometimes to use it,
even on the lowest setting on the phone it was still loud. It has no
volume control but it does have a mute & answer button.

The Bodyglove boom mic - great headset. Volume control, good sound
quality, answer button, mute, etc.. It seems durable.

The Plantronics "120", "135", and "140" -- all good boom-mic headsets,
only the 135 and 140 volume control. The headsets themselves are
curable, but the part that goes over your ear tends to break and
getting a replacement isn't easy.

The Plantronics "170" (over the head telemarketer) is very good, and
probabally the most comfortable (but ugly).

The "silver" headset (coiled cord) - OK quality, auto-answer button,
cheap. Few complaints that the coil tends to tug on the earpiece a
little.

The cheap black headsets are exactly that, cheap.

All of these (except the Plantronics 170) WILL get uncomfortable in
your ear if in there for an extended amount of time (15+ minutes).
The most comfortable I've noticed so far was the Bodyglove boom mic
headset (which I still use).

I haven't tried any of the Jabra branded headsets, but I've heard that
they're great, but can be bulky while trying to get them into your ear
if you're in a hurry.

What I like about the Jabra earpieces are that they are less obvious in a
public place. Some of these headsets makes one look like a real geek ...

for different sized ears. Excellent audio quality.
