Samsung a680 first charge???

Hi,
I just got my new Samsung a680 in the mail. How long until this thing
turns on?? Should it work with the phone plugged in right away?? I
am still waiting for it to power up after an hour so I can set it up??

Usually, there is enough power in the battery to power it up right away.
If the power is plugged in and it is charging, it definitely SHOULD
power up right way. If you are not able to get it to power up (END
key), try disconnecting the power and removing the battery for 20
seconds or so. Put the battery back in and try to power it on.

Hang in there, even if you somehow have a defective phone, I guarentee
you will love this phone, so don't give up on it.

I recently picked up an A680 and am not all that impressed with it.
The build quality is lacking. Some of the buttons feel a little loose
or wiggly and the end key doesn't light up as good as the rest of the
keys. In addition it has trouble downloading free ringers, games, etc
from certain web sites such as tekninja (my favorite) where the A500
which uses the exact same browser had no trouble at all. Battery life
doesn't seem to be anywhere need what I was getting on the A500 either.
