Does anyone have an echo chamber effect on their Sprint phones? Until
today I thought it was my wife's Samsung VGA-1000 that was the problem
however after adding a second line with a Sanyo RL-4920 the problem
can be heard there too, not all the time but most of the time and with
varying degrees of intensity. I am in Oklahoma City but this effect
has been heard periodically on out of state trips too so I'm not sure
it's a local tower problem but with two different phones doing the
same thing I doubt it's the phones either. Software has been updated
on the Samsung and the Sanyo is new. Is this something Sprint can fix
or should I take advantage of the 14 day free trial and bail if they
can't solve this problem? The thing is I'm not sure where to pin the
blame when I complain so before I do I'm curious if this is a common
problem or something unique. Any ideas will be appreciated.

The RL-4920 has recently had a software update, from the original 1.001SP
to 1.006SP, and the only thing this update takes care of is the "echo"
effect. See your local Sprint Store for the update.

After further testing we've learned it is the VGA-1000 that is having
the most serious echoing problem when in close proximity to another
Sprint PCS or a landline to which it is connected. Most of the rest
of the time it is clear. Why that is I don't know.

Thank for the tip on the RL-4920. Although new, mine does have the
original software so on the next trip to the store I'll have it
    updated.

Latest firmware for the 4920 is actually 1.011SP

As previously stated several times, that website has been quite often
wrong, quite often. What they *say* and what is *truly available* are,
again, quite often two different things. YMMV.

In this instance it was correct. I just got back from my Sprint store
where I had my RL-4920 software updated with version 1.011SP.
