    Hi,

    My name is David.
    Yesterday i tried to upgrade my Audiovox XV6600. i got the software
    upgrade from www.audiovox.com and followed the manual for upgrading.
    After checking the Pocket PC XV6600 using my laptop through ActiveSync
    and start the process, suddenly the ActiveSync is shutting down and
    followed by Pocket PC is off.
    After that in the screen of my PPC XV6600 only written "USB" at the top
    and at the bottom written "v1.02".
    I have feeling that i've lost the OS.

    Is there anyone have the same experiences like this? or anyone knows
    how to restore the OS?

    Take your phone to your local SPCS store. Don't tell them you downloaded
    something from Audiovox's site. Just tell them you are having a problem and
    ask them to reload the firmware, and the PRL if it's outdated.

    what improvements did the upgrade have and what would it have made the phone
    do that the previous firmware didn't do?

    OK do you have a Sprint phone or a Verizon phone? The PPC is the sprint
    phone, the XV is the Verizon phone. They have different files on Audiovox
    for each - make sure you got the right one for your phone and that you get
    the right one for one with a camera and without.

    Go over to mypdaphone.com, select the 6600 forum, and post your
    question there. You will probably have to reflash your PDA downward
    before you can go up.
