Lye is correct. Use *69. The keystroke sequence is:
*69 xxx-xxxx <TALK>

Well, you got the poster's name wrong (It's "Lyle") and the
sequence wrong (It's "*67").
Better luck, next time.

*67 and *82 are standard in the US and work on at least three of the major
carriers -- Alltel, Sprint and Verizon, as well as SBC and Verizon landlines
(I speak from experience in all five cases :>)
If your caller-ID is normally not blocked, *67 blocks it on the next call only.
If your caller-ID is normally blocked, *82 sends it on the next call only.
We have caller-ID blocked on our Verizon landline and I frequently use *82
when calling friends' cell phones, so they'll know it's me calling.
You need to prepend *67 or *82 to the number you're calling; for example,
*82-213-555-1212.

My bad....was typing with one hand and pushing dogs away with the other.
Dogs (and cats) can't use a computer keyborad and will make damn sure
you can't either.
