Folks,
Anyone got clue if 700P will have EV-DO?
I am just about to buy a Treo phone, should I buy 650 or wait for 700P?
From what little I have read on few Treo sites, it seems that 700P may not
have EV-DO capability. Why would they release new Treo without EV-DO
support?

There are nothing but rumors on the web so who knows. If you can wait a
couple of months then you might want to hold off. One of the rumors was
that the 700p would be available in March, when they announce it you'll
know what the features are for sure. It would be crazy for them to come
out with a new model that lacks EVDO but you never know. The 700m has EVDO
and a slightly better camera then the 650. It also has a lower resolution
screen than the 650, 240x240 vs 320x320, which is apparently due to a
limitation of the crappy Windoze software. One would hope that they use a
better screen on the 700p but it's entirely possible that they will use
exactly the same hardware. If the 700p is just a 700m with Palm OS instead
of Windoze it will be a hard choice. On the one hand EVDO will be a huge
step forward, I have the 650 and doing web browsing on it is really
painful. On the other hand a 240x240 screen would really cripple it. The
320x320 on the 650 is not exactly luxurious, reducing it to 240x240 might
make it unusable.

Re: Treo 700P features?
I just returned a Treo 650 today that I bought last week. I decided I
could live with the Internet speeds. Hopefully the 700P will hit the
market soon.
I have heard speculation that the 700P will use the same hardware as
the 700w. Is there any possibility that the 700w is capable of 320X320
resolution but the Windows software limits it to 240X240?
