I was hoping you'd say that, as I also have an 840. <g>
I've gone through every menu possible, and haven't been able to find
anything related to "offline."
It sounds like a browser message... Does it appear when you're trying
to make phone calls, access Vision, or both?

Re: Offline Mode
Just when trying to make phone calls (when it first powers on)... I no
longer subscribe to Vision...
Thanks,
Chris

Just out of curiosity, what the "Airplane Mode" (Menu | Settings | Airplane
Mode) set to?

Re: Offline Mode
On my phone (I have one of the new Motorolas) it shuts the phone
function off but allows access to things like the games and calendar.

That's what I was getting at... While putting my 840 into Airplane Mode
causes the display to read "Phone Off," I was thinking that a different
software version might display "Offline Mode."

Re: Offline Mode
Airplane Mode's turned off... And I have access to my contact list,
games, calendar, etc., it just continously searches for a signal...
Leebehr - how do you turn your phone function back on?

Re: Offline Mode
I also tried turning Airplane Mode on, and you're right - it says Phone
Off at the top, but after turning Airplane Mode off, it reboots and
defaults back to Offline Mode...

It was worth a shot! <g>
It certainly sounds like you'll be taking a road trip, down to your local
Sprint store. If so, let us know what they find.
Good Luck!

Re: Offline Mode
Under Other Settings I have a pulldown for Airplane mode. I just make
sure it's off.
