I have pasted the link to this closed topic from a month ago because I
curious to hear if anyone has had the same success. I have
grandfathered vision for $10 per month. When sprint added sms and
later picture, sales reps have insisted that I had to pay more and both
times it was untrue. I would like to know what price others are paying
and how they negotiated it. thanks in advance.

Basic Vision was 10 bucks last March when I enrolled. After the freebie
month it never showed on my bill and I received some jumbo data charges.
Called CS and spun my tale. The data charges were removed and the next month
it showed up..... for $15/month. Seems the package had changed in April or
    so.

Another call to CS. Told 'em I wanted what I ordered under the terms that
were current at the time. The charge was rolled back to $10/month which now
included picture mail and text messaging which I didn't want and don't use
    anyway.

If you are out of contract, that is your best bet for negotiating...both
through Retention (over the phone) and through Ecare (via email).

Check out the Sprint Users Forums for further info on the kinds of deals
    people are getting: http://www.sprintusers.com

This thread should get you up and running:

I am about to call myself this week and see what I can pull off since
I've been out of contract since April and a customer since Sept 1999.
