Does anyone have any info on the release date of the i700. I've heard July,
end of August, and October. I'm now thinking of switching to Verizon so I
can get this phone. Any new info (and it's source--I've looked everywhere
and found nothing) would be appreciated.

Sprint decided not to release the Samsung I700. They have another
Pocket PC they're releasing at the end of the year or 1st quarter 2004
    instead.

It's a PPC PDA with a built in phone (like the 2032) rather than a
phone with a built in PDA (like the i500)> Verizon has it, go check
out their website for info on it.

Verizon does have the Samsung I700, Its currently $499 available for
order directly from Verizon with free shipping. They've had it for over
    6 months now.

Various posters have offered uncorroborated statements as to why
SprintPCS indicated in January they would carry the I700 and hasn't yet.

Yeah. We still have the Press Release on our web site announcing both the
I700 and the G1000 together. But I can't find anything on the I700 other
    than that.

Duh. The Samsung I700 (at present only available from verizon to work on
the verizon network) is made by Samsung.
