Data Speeds: T-Mobile vs. Sprint

For connecting my phone as modem to my computer, which service offers
higher speeds and better connections, T-Mobile or Sprint? T-Mobile's
data plans are so much cheaper. I wonder if their data speed is even
acceptable. I know about the coverage issues and Sprint's Vision
issues--I'm interested in info on how the two compare where there is
coverage. Thanks.

In terms just of Data Speed, we blow T-Mo out of the water.

Of course, there's all that language in our terms and conditions
prohibiting use of Vision phone as modems with connection kits. So we
lose by voluntary forfeit.

I can't believe we won't even try to play in this game.

But I'm just a Sprint apologist, so I'm not actually saying there's
anything wrong with that.

Well...when I tried a CF-2301 Datacard from Sprint it flat out HAULED ASS!!!
when you could get a signal. It didnt work inside the local eateries (on was
in sight of a Sprint store!!) didnt work at home, didnt work in my
office..but did work OK outside these places. So if you don't mind going
outside and sitting with the smokers, Sprint data services is for
you....Eddie

I never have had very many calls on that card. The ones that I *did*
get were all along those lines. Great service, if you can get a signal.
Just based on my own experience with calls in, the Novatel and Sierra
cards did much better.

Frankly, I can't either. It's another of the mysteries about your
company. I don't use tons of data on the road, so purchasing an air card
and a data plan from Sprint doesn't make sense. Legitimate use of SOME
data (phone as modem) would be great, even if minutes were debited. If
ever I get "the letter" regarding using too much Vision, I will cancel
in a heartbeat and look elsewhere. That's why I asked about T-Mobile.
Maybe I'll check out Verizon as well.
