How do I clear out my old phone number?

I don't think you can manually program all zeros or anything like that. =20
I think you need to take it into a Sales and Service Center and have=20
them run the Refurb Tool software on it. Cleans it out factory clean, I=20
believe. Same basic idea as the N400 discussion in another thread.

Another option might be to lock the phone after setting some random lock=20
code without telling your friend. I think 911 can still be dialed when=20
the phone is locked. Obviously, if a thief tries long enough, they'll=20
get through and get the info. But four-keying almost 10,000 different=20
lock codes to find the one that works isn't exactly a walk in the park =20

Most stores can't support the Samsung 1000, that was lost with the
upgrade to Win2K, but they can re-program the phone for all 0's
(000-000-0000).

As for locking it, I don't know if the SCH-1000 can call 911 when locked
(some phones can, some can't).

But in respince to O/siris' post, I think you can enter all 0's or at
least enter 123-456-7890 in the programming of the phone.
But he is gonna need the MSL for the phone.

go to sprintpcs store or call cs to get ##xxxxxx number; from there you
can enter any number you want when asked for "mobile number"...
