If his billing cycle ends on the 26th of this month, he won't receive
his paper bill until about 10 days later. My bill usualy takes about
8-10 business days to get here after my cycle ends, with about 12-15
days remaining before the due date.

He can use *3 to find out his balance and should he desire pay
by check or credit card.

-Dosn't that defeat the whole point of getting a bill inthe mail? Also
they have shut off his service repeatedly because of that.-

They aren't going to shut off service unless he hasn't paid by the due date,
and then only if he has gone past a specific amount owed (some people are
apparently allowed more grace than others). When I receive the bill, I
usually have a solid two weeks to mail it off. I mostly pay online using
their webpage or with an online banking payment (so that I can keep my money
up to the last minute and dispute it if they claim they didn't recieve their
money) and I have never had any trouble with Sprint. Granted, you will have
a little less time to pay your bill if you have to include 5 bankers days
for the USPS to handle it. That is simply part of paying for monthly
services, not unique to Sprint or anybody else (I usually have less than 14
actual days to pay my phone bill by the time I receive it .. QWest!)

usually the bills come relatively quickly after the billing cycle. if
he hasn't gotten his last bill by now, then he needs to call up and ask
for a copy.
You could also call up *4 and check your balance there (though I
recommend you do it on the evenings if you have N&W minutes, as *4 does
use airtime).

Re: Sprint not sending bill.
I have routinely had problems of not getting the bills and I won't use
the web service after they lost my first attempt to pay on the web.

That is why you print the confirmation out on paper ... so that when you
call, you have proof to fax them. Further, at that point it is really up to
them to find out where the transaction went.

Re: Sprint not sending bill.
Sure, but in the meantime they claim you haven't paid and give you brief
notice and turn off the phone. Once that occurs, you have to either pay
again (or in my case for the first time because the system had not
actually charged my card) or wait days for them to work it all out. I
will stay with a more old-fashioned method until I have some guarantees
on how their newer payment systems work.
