I just noticed the following message on Sprint's website. It would be
nice if this meant they were moving closer to MO SMS, but that's
probably not the case. I hate the fact that I won't be able to check
messages on the website, because checking them on the phone takes
forever, especially when I'm sitting at home and could just go right
to the website and check them from my PC. Guess we'll see.

Sprint will discontinue the View and Organize Inbox feature for
One-Way Messaging and Short Mail from this website beginning on or
after the 17th of November. You will still be able to use the Compose
feature to send text messages from this website.
These changes will not affect your Sprint Phone functionality. Short
Mail messages are still accessible from your phone's web browser and
any text messages/notifications stored on your phone will not be
affected.

Yes, and I'm extremely worried that this will somehow affect Treo600SMS.

It may. I don't know how PDAApps' proxy works, if it uses the web link. I=

any event, once we get the 2-way SMS service running, you'll have that to u=
se. =20
So, worst case,. it's not permanent.

I've used IMAP to check my SPCS inbox. Netscape Mail and Outlook
Express have IMAP clients.
