Erika,
If I may make some suggestions... if you want to eventually be
able to use that cell phone back in PI, you might want to pick a model
that is a quad-band GSM, because they use 900/1800 frequencies in PI.
My phone is only tri-band, so it only does 850/1800/1900 so I only
have partial coverage if I try to use it over there.
Also, I don't know if you have any choice of what network to
join, I recommend Cingular, because you can call any of the 50
million+ customers anytime for free. Also, you can roll-over any
un-used anytime minutes for up to a year. Very cool. What network is
your aunt under, because you'll probably join her under her "family
plan", probably paying $10-$20 a month.

You miss their texts? I guess you didn't know about Chikka? It
allows you to send texts to them using your computer (you have to d/l
& install a program). When they reply to your Chikka texts, it only
costs them P2.50 per text, as opposed to P15 for replying to cellular
texts internationally. Here is the site:
