Cell phone with voice dial?

I am looking for a recommendation for a new cell phone. It needs to be one that has the voice dial feature and it stores more the 5 names. My dad bought a Motorola V180 and was told it has the voice dial feature. What we did not know until it was too late that the phone would only store 5 names. This will not work for my dad. He needs a phone where he can store at lease 13 names. Any suggestion?

Samsung phones have great voice dial software written by VoiceSignal. Generally
these phones need no training and can dial any phonebook entry without
requiring separate voice dial entries, and can dial any number by being told
"Digit dial" and then the phone number... "Digit Dial. 2-1-6-5-5-5-1-2-1-2."

On Sprint, my SPH-A620 (sold as the VGA-1000) and the SPH-A660 I used to have
(sold as the VI-660) both have the VoiceSignal software. Verizon's SCH-A650
doesn't have the voice dial software, IIRC, but the fancier Verizon Samsungs
do. Cingular sells Samsung handsets too. Not sure about T-Mobile or Alltel or
the smaller carriers. Which carrier are you using?

Oh yeah, and Cingular has that new Samsung with VoiceMode speech-to-text
software that lets you *dictate* text messages instead of keying them. Wild...
(Check their website; last time I checked, Cingular was only selling this
new model online)

One caution is that there are Samsung models that don't handle weak signals
well, like the VI-660. On Sprint, my alternatives are the VGA-1000 I have now
(which, unfortunately, is discontinued)... and the newer SPH-A740 and SPH-A760
models are supposed to work better too. The VI-660 and VM-A680 (Samsung's model
number is SPH-A680) don't handle weak signals real well and have some firmware
bugs. Check with users of the Samsung models you're looking at to find out how
well they work. The cellular newsgroups are a good place to start, as are
HowardForums and Phonescoop.

so much.

My dad signed up with Cingular. The reason he like voice dial is that it more easy for him to remember names then phone numbers.

Well, there is that cool new phone -- I think it's the P207 -- that does the
voice-to-text for text messaging. It should have the features I mentioned too,
and it's not the only Samsung handset Cingular sells. You should have no
problem finding a Samsung that will work on Cingular, that has the VoiceSignal
software.

I'm crossposting this into alt.cellular.cingular, as people there will be much
better qualified to answer this question:

Just to recap for those new to this discussion, Bexar is looking for a phone
with voice dial capabilities for more than five phonebook entries. I suggested
any recent Samsung, and he told me it's for his father who is using Cingular.

I am aware of the P207, which has the slick new voice-to-text feature, but I'm
pretty sure that there are other GSM Samsung models that have the VoiceSignal
software that I described to him... the older VoiceSignal software (not
VoiceMode) allows you to dial any phonebook entry without recording a specific
voice dial entry for it, and also allows for digit dialing. Most Samsung models
made in the last year or two have this software... perhaps y'all could help out
with model numbers here, since I'm not familiar with Cingular's product lineup.
