I bought a Nokia 1100 Tracfone about a year ago. I am concerned that
some phones are said to be becoming obsolete in 2008. Can someone who
knows more than I on this issue advise me on this?

I was told all analog phones are being rendered obsolete. I don't know
if the Nokia 1100 is analog or not?

GSM is digital, so you're good to go.

i say flash the phone and leave tracfone at once, and get cingular or tmobile prepaid. I had a nokia 1221 with AMPS and TDMA, and i just turned it on, the signal bars have seriously detriorated compared to 2 years ago
