I've sent emails which they claim they will answer in 24 hours but 5 days later they send me a message they are behind and to call customer service.

I tried chat and was 40 in the quque and it moved sloooooowly.

I finally got a customer rep after a 29 minute wait. I got my account setup so I could login. What this rep said reversed what the first rep said 9 days ago. Anyway, i got it setup.

I ask how I would know when my 60 days are up and the rep said it is my responsibility to keep track and renew prior to 60 days. They cannot tell me when the 60 days are up. This sucks. Some months have 30 days some 28 and some 31. I am responsible for keeping track even though their computer knows as it will shut me off and I'll loose my minutes.

As I understand, on 12:01am of the 60th day, they wipe out my minutes and lock my account until I add more minutes. Can someone verify that this is ture? No wonder they only charge $.10/minute.

I had boost moblie and when I saw an an for Amp'd I checked out their website and was lured in by the cheaper rates and the better coverage area.
That and they were offering their bottom-of-the-line phone for free (rebate for full cost). So I dumped Boost and got an Amp'd account.

I hear you about the 60 day thing. My cell phone usage does not warrant signing a contract so pay-as-you-go is the way for me. I went through the same drill that you did....waiting on line getting answers and when I asked when my 60 days were up I was told that "they had no way of accessing that information" and was advised to "count off the days on a calendar."
Now, I don't mind putting in a little time to do so but, like you said, it can get confusing and a one-day mistake will wipe out your account.

On their website you can access your account. However, they will not tell you when the due date is. Conversely (and much to my chagrin now), Boost would let you know when you had to "refill." There is no reason why they can't do that.....other than they are encouraging people to sign up for the automatic refill. Did you notice that you can set it up so that they charge you $20/month but not every 60 days as is required? They are doing something really shifty, because if you read the Terms of Service (as I did before I took the plunge) you will see that they say pay-as-you-go customers have the option of an automatic charge on their credit card every 60 days. That's just not the case, and I'm sure they could get into trouble if enough people got together and called them on it.

I love the phone and the reception is great, but having to count on the calendar when they could easily give you the refill due date on the website is ridiculous. Heck, even the bottom-of-the-barrel tracphone will tell you when you need to add more minutes!

Like I said, my phone usage is such that a contract isn't for me, but I don't like playing around with dates and perhaps forgetting to put in for more minutes and have them wiped out.
Once my last refill is up I'm going to bail on Amp'd unless they change their ways. I have already sent them an e-mail about this with no response. We'll see.

    Good luck.

Good luck on getting anything from the email. I think they have one drone at the other end saying we are swamped, call customer service.

I set my Outlook reminder for 58 days and will renew then. So far, we have been very happy with the phone and network. They just don't have any customer service, with the exception of number porting which went very quick.

We also have a TracFone and my daughter has Virgin Mobile. Both can tell you when you are expirying. Amp'd is playing games as you said.

First time I loose my service, I'm gone but until then, they are much, much cheaper than Verizon and use the same network.
