    Hi,

First : Yes it works, but....

... I don't know where you come from in Europe but first I would look to the local conditions in having an "official" contract with it's Iphone.

I have just been in the States and looked at the "opened" Iphone that are supposed to work in Europe, and I am sure they do, but their prices are absolutely discouraging in buying them there.

As an example, for a 16Gb Iphone, without a contract that is open to be used anywhere, is sold between $699 and $1299 in Miami. For a 8Gb you count $200 less. This without Taxes which have to be added on top.

You will find most Electronic shops, selling this at the prices above. Well
a dealer that is supposed to make a contractz, will not have this offer.

I come from Switzerland and have calculated the cons and pros, and just went to the conclusion that it is better to make a local contract.

    Hope it answers your question.

    Brgds

i have to agree with the above said. i'm living in the US but I'm often in germany and have a contract there. i would love to be able to put my sim card in but no way.

if you want to buy it cheap in the US and use it in europe it's not worth the 50 bucks saving because they break quite often and you need the warranty. that is easier to deal with locally.
