Im totally in a bind here...i was with verizon for about 3 years now and lately the bills have just been out of control, it just seems they nail you every which way and my wife and I just had enough of it...so we are trying something new with ATT.

Now heres the sucky part...i had the LG VX8600 and this phone has been awesome, from the looks, to call quality, to good speaker quality etc...i hate giving it up.

Ive looked at the similar ones in ATT and...well not sure which route to go, i like the samsungs and the LGs, but i just need some good ol opinions.

My cousin had an LG CU500 and i really liked that phone, and not to mention it got rated pretty good on cnet...but thats my other question, how many of you base phone decisions off Cnet? It seems like every flip phone from ATT was rated 7.3 from them...that is just, off, to me.

So, need some opinions of some really awesome phones even if they arent actually in store stock like the CU500 which is ashame because it really seemed solid in every which way, cept the call quality was kind of low...enough rambling, toss me some opinions, thanks!

This is my opinion...so take it as you will. I worked in the wireless business for 8+ years, and at at&t/cingular for 5 of them.

    1. In my experiences, LG and Samsung's were the worst GSM phones.
    2. Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Motorola phones were the best, usually the middle of the road, the really cheap ones are most always terrible.
    3. Cnet's reviews are biased, and I believe they are paid to skew reviews some ways. I use them only as another opinion, but I value the opinions of those on message boards with real world experience much more.

In the end, it's your decision on what you are happy with, my suggestion take advantage of the 30 day policy and try out the CU500...if you don't like it I would suggest a Motorola V3xx, Sony Ericsson w850i, or the Nokia N75.
