What are the best AT&T phones as far as reception & call quality? I'm tired of my old RAZR.

    Thanks in advance ,

I will assume you just need a basic phone I would have to say either the new razr2 or any of the Sony Ericsons they have. I have had good luck with sony ericson.

Yes, I just need a basic phone. Is the RAZR2 really better than the original?
I have good things about the SE's also.

If you can find a SE 810, I would highly recommend it. Other than that the Nokia 6126 also has great reception and as does the Motorola V3xx.

I am not sure about your definition of a basic phone, but all of the above would probably be considered mid range.

The V3xx has 3G, if that is important to you.

    Good luck

I've always heard that Nokias had the best reception.

I recommend Sony Ericsson or Nokia. Whatever you do don't get a Samsung because my brother has one of the slide phones and they're horrible with reception.

Yeah I would also stay away from the samsung "dumb phones" not to many good things come from them.

Thanks guys. Nokia & SE seem to be the two brands that come up. Any specific models better than others?

I agree with you mostly but Samsung has come a long way specially in their high-end phones. The blackjack line of phones both in GSM and CDMA are excellent in built, call quality and reception. My blackjack exceeded my Nokia 6131 in all aspects.

I am rather partial to the SE810 over the Nokias available presently. It comes down to personal preference and what you are comfortable with, use the trial period to give a couple of phones a trial run.

    Good luck.

Be wary of this make sure you clearly ask your provider if you can exchange a phone more than once. There are times you can only exchange one time.

vdaily89, just wanted too clarify, the "buyers remorse" technically only allows one exchange, if you try out two phones and return both or go back to the first one you are technically not allowed.

From my experience with AT&T, if you are dealing with a corporate store and go in and explain your intentions they are usually willing to overlook that, specially if you don't do a contract untill your satisfied.

If they are not willing to do that then take your time and try both phones at the store and then choose. If that one does not work sarisfactorily then exchange it for your other choice.

I just wanted to clarify my statement a bit.

    Hope that made sense.

Nokia N75 is nice, and the V3xx is a good phone to dude! cheaper than the nokia and the housing is tough aluminum, not plastic like the nokia, incase you are hard on your phones.
