    Hi,

I am trying to connect a gophone sim (with 100MB data feature pack purchased) with an Icon 322 wireless broadband device (same as the USB quicksilver, but unlocked). When I put the SIM card into the USB modem, the connection manager returns a no SIM card found error on both Windows 7 and OS X. However, when I put that SIM into a phone, it works just fine. To test the modem, I put another SIM in the modem as a test, and that SIM worked and I was able to connect online through the modem.

The "broken" SIM seems to work in the phone, and the modem seems to work with another SIM? What could the problem be? Should I ask AT&T for a new gophone SIM to maybe fix the problem?

    Thanks!!

If the original poster bought a GoPhone kit which included a credit, the SIM card may be locked to the first phone in which it was activated.
