Audiovox 8600

Hey!

Ummm, I basically just have a question. But first you'll need to hear my full story *sigh* I know, it's boring *sigh*, but then you can understand why I am recieving an Audiovox 8600.

Story : I had purchased an Audiovox 8910 in August 2005, and within 1 month it needed to be sent in for repair. Three weeks after being sent away for warranty, Bell Mobility had decided to give me a brand new one because they did not know what was wrong with it. 3 Weeks later, same problem. The phone had been sent in and replaced 4 times within 5 months. So I contacted Audiovox and they only agreed to give me an older model, rather than my money back. So I chose to recieve an Audiovox 8600 because my sister had one for 2 years before it broke.

Question : Are you able to download games on the Audiovox 8600? I know you can download ringtones but are you able to download games?

According to phonescoop.com, this phone does not support j2me (java) games and only supports some versions of BREW games. for more info... Click Here

I just read the information on phonescoop but what is BREW games? Are they common? And while choosing a game, how do I ensure it is BREW formatted?

BREW is simply a different platform for writing games. I don't think it's as common as the j2me games, and honestly I don't know much about the BREW platform. Here is a google link that should help you find out more than I can answer here .
