Bluetooth dongle problems

Hi guys,

Im helping someone out with their motorola v3 (i think) and their bluetooth net connection. She bought a new dongle cause her old one fried. and the thing is she didnt change any software or anything but for some reason the new dongle doesnt work.

I can ftp files to and from the phone but it cant dial-up to the internet. keep getting the error 777 (modem or pc outta order) and error 678 (not responding)

Do you have any suggestions as to how i can fix the problem?

The new dongle probably loaded a basic driver that does not have any permissions.
