Re: RealTime LG DARE REVIEW
First let me say... the only real good thing you should be doing while driving... IS DRIVING...lol... seriously
I now use the BlueAnt V1, but the the Jabra BT530 is a excellent choice for money.
There is no doubt, the touch screen is an adjustment, i only had my Voyager for a few weeks and then gave it to my daughter because i purchase my DARE. I can't compare texting on the DARE and texting on the Voyager because i never really got a chance to text on my Voyager. Texting on a touch screen in the vertical or landscape position takes some getting use to. Even after a few weeks don't get frustrated with the DARE, give yourself time, the DARE becomes more fun to use as your experience enhances through practice and mistakes.
I've had my DARE since June and it has become as simple to use as sneakers, you put them on and walk, i turn my DARE on and just use it.
Now the DARE is not perfect, it is what it is, and i don't try to make the DARE more than what it is. I'm looking forward to the upcoming phones from √erizon, good luck with your DARE

Re: RealTime LG DARE REVIEW
is there a specific case you recommend for the dare??
I bought the verizon one. heard from a friend who has the samsung glide (not a good phone at all btw) that they told him to keep it in a pouch because if you scratch or mess up the screen you ae basically hosed

I picked up the rubberized plastic case and have been pretty happy with it.

Re: RealTime LG DARE REVIEW
I just thought of another nice feature to add......
The dare makes a little sound and vibrates when you hit the keypad "or any part of the screen for that matter" - while texting, (if you have that feature turned on) It would be nice to only vibrate and beep when a successful button was hit.
Too many times I"m texting along just to look up at the text screen and see that I'm not hitting the button dead on and all the letters are not making it and the word is thus *****ing wrong. Thats deceptive since I do feel the vibration as well as hear the sound.
Is there a way while in text mode to disable the vibration and sound except when a letter is successfully hit???... that would be a great feature to add if possible.
This would lessen the likelihood of having to go "undo" text and so making the whole process more accurate and easier.* The second mouse gets the cheese.

Re: RealTime LG DARE REVIEW
can you use the backup assistant to download your contacts onto the dare instead of manually inputting them if you are enrolled in that program?
I aslo ordered the invisible shield for it, hopefully with all the buzz that it generates, it will have been a good investment

Re: RealTime LG DARE REVIEW
The Dare takes a beating amazingly well. The plastic is not so hard that it really scraches... maybe its more like a hard rubber?
I've dropped mine 3 times from only about 3 feet onto concrete and you would never know it. Not even the front got scratched... maybe I was just lucky.
I think its built with shock in mind.
I don't use a front cover and when I place it in my pocket, I place it with the front against my body so its not exposed to outside bumping through my pants fiber. I also don't put change, keys, or anything else in that same pocket.
My front still looks brand new. Its really tougher than it looks.* The second mouse gets the cheese.

Re: RealTime LG DARE REVIEW
received my Dare today. Initial impression is that I am going to like playing around with this phone. Is a little smaller than I anticipated but it fits in the hand pretty well. I tried using the qwerty keyboard and really had no issues with typing out a test text message< and i was typing it fairly quickly and only made one mistake.
think like aepple, windstrings, and others said, just going to have to take the time to get used to it and figure it out.
I will report back soon with my impressions of it. I will use the tips and tricks that aepple posted here to try and learn some shortcuts

Re: RealTime LG DARE REVIEW
I need ANYONE'S HELP. Could someone make a call and, while on the call, see if you can access the caledar. I use my phone calendar for EVERYTHING. I wanna see if I can schedule an appointment on the Dare while I'm on a phone call. I can't do it on my current phone and would love to be able to do it on the DARE.
Thank you to anyone who tries this for me.

Re: RealTime LG DARE REVIEW
Does anyone know what is up with my speakerphone? It seems to have stopped working. It is still loud when I press the middle button (the one that says "please say a command"), but it no longer works during a call.
