    Re: Android vs iPhone

I own both an iOS device and an Android device. I would say, that my preference would vary depending on the purpose.
If it were games, music and social apps, i would go for the iOS. But I wouldn't be inclined to make it my phone, so I got an iPod touch instead.
For general productivity tools, texting, calling, surfing and interoperability, Android takes the cake. So I got an Android phone. They work hand in hand in getting me through the day.

I don't have much experience with the iPhone, so I'd need to choose Android. It does just about everything I need. Also, there are many Android devices, made by many different manufacturers, but with the iPhone there is just one made by the same company. With Android phones, there is a huge price range. There is an Android phone for those looking for a cheap device, that want the basics, and then there are high-end Android phones that are much more expensive but have many more features, such as a front facing camera, a better screen, etc. Also, with Android phones, they're available on more networks, especially prepaid providers. There are some prepaid providers that still don't have the iPhone because of the big up front cost. Those providers have Android phones though because they're available at a lower cost.

I definitely agree that generally, androids are cheaper. but that is because there are a lot of lowerpriced solutions out there for those who can't afford the latest and greatest flagship models. But if we are going to compare flagship vs iPhone, the prices are roughly the same don't you think?

Still, android is still the most manageable. but for those who don't like to manage and just have a phone to play games and show off, the iPhone has it covered.

I agree that the pricing is similar for a high-end Android phone and an iPhone. I think it's great that Android phones can reach more people, just because they're available on so many more devices.

Yeah, I think the iPhone is just good for people who want to buy a phone and for it to work out of the box, without needing to do anything to it. With a lot of Android phones, there might or might not be an update for it, and there could be problems, depending on which phone it is. I believe all iPhones are decent.

Do you have an iPhone yourself? If you do, how do you like it?

That's partially my reasoning also. I've never had an iPhone either. I'm satisfied with Android though.
