Lectures and books are useful things to find information. Still, I agree with you that in today's world, these sources are outdated. So it makes sense for you to attend a few introductory lectures to get the basics explained to you. After that, a few investment apps will be enough for you to keep up with all the news and changes. If this is what you want, then doughroller.net, might be useful. When I started my way, I tried to communicate more with those who already understood the subject to learn from their experiences and skills. Maybe that can help you as well.
