Sony Ericsson announced the Yari phone a few days ago and this phone offers gaming technology and provides users with a games carousel for quick access to all the games from a user’s desktop as well as for browsing games for downloading at Sony Ericsson’s PlayNow arena. The Sony Ericsson Yari lets you control the game with gestures just like the Wii. It has the A and B buttons as shortcut keys and comes with an EC500 phone stand.

The phone runs on GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS/HSDPA 900/2100 network. Other features of the Yari are: 5.0 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, auto focus, face detection, photo feeds, photo fix, photo light, smile detection, video light and direct sending to the web, music player, stereo speakers, location tracking by SMS, music shake control, Google search, web feeds, Bluetooth stereo, bookmarks, email, instant messaging, auto rotate function, FM Radio with RDS, A-GPS, and other PIM features.

The TFT display measures 2.4″ and has 1GB microSD support, talk time up to 10 hrs and 450 hrs of standby time.

The Sony Ericsson Yari is said to be released in Q4 and will come in Achromatic Black and Cranberry White.
