As many of you should already know by now, Verizon has recently launched the latest Motorola Droid line-up on its network. However, the mobile operator in question is also set to release the Moto X, which - unlike the Droid family - isn't offered exclusively through Big Red.

Those of you who have taken a bigger interest in the X than the Droid line-up will soon be able to buy the handset on the official Verizon Wireless website. Starting with tomorrow (August 29), the Moto X will be available for purchase at the price of $199 alongside a 2-year contract. According to Verizon, the handset will then become available in brick & mortar stores sometime within the next few weeks.

I should also mention that prospective customers will be limited to either stock Woven White or Woven Black flavors. The Moto Maker website through which Motorola has promised a wide range of customization options is not yet available for Verizon customers just yet (it just went live for AT&T though).

Assuming that you're not entirely familiar with the Moto X, then you may be wondering what makes it tick. The handset features a 4.7 inch 720 x 1280 display with a pixel density of 312 ppi, a Snapdragon S4 Pro dual-core chip that has been heavily modified by Motorola and runs at 1.7 GHz, an Adreno 320 GPU, 2 GB of RAM, a 10 MP main camera complemented by a 2 MP secondary sensor, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and a 2,200 mAh battery.

So, is anyone interested in buying the Moto X from Verizon tomorrow? Or are you going to wait until the device arrives in stores? Perhaps you may want to wait until the Moto Maker customization website will become available to Verizon customers as well? After all, the carrier did specified that this particular service will go live sometime within the next few months.

Whichever the case, feel free to share your thoughts below.
