    Sidekick Locked?

    If you have a sidekick that is locked and you have no use for it I'll buy it off of you. I have a broken screen on my phone and just need a replacement screen.

    nope, it can only be used with Tmobile, as previous posts said, its GSM..which is like sprints CDMA...their phones work ONLY with THAT particular service. I do know that you can use other phones from other companys, with companys other than the original company... get it?? lol.. i know, kinda confusing.. as far as i know, sprint, nextel and tmobile phones are not compatible with any other company other than their own.. =( sorry

    Any GSM phone can be used with T-Mobile service. That's the beauty of having T-Mobile. Change your phone as often as you want, without having to call the company or pay fees. Just pop your SIM card in the phone you want to use and it's activated instantly. Check out theMy World Phone Website , any GSM phone that is unlocked can be used with T-Mobile. Beware, however, any phone bought from this site will NOT be covered by T-Mobile's limited 1 year warranty.

    Richie..
    Are you saying that if i take my sidekick, and pop out the sim and put it into a phone, that for example, shut off early and didnt pay the Early termination fee... i can still use that particular phone?? If so thats great to know! I know verizon and other companys dont do that..especially sprint

    generic rule of thumb on carriers:

    cingular, t-mo = GSM
    nextel = iDEN
    almost everything else (USA) = CDMA

    probably exceptions, so don't go all crazy on me guys.

    secure in what way?

    paris' hack was due more to an oversight than a lack of security. i'd feel safe on any cellular network. but in my opinion, the gsm networks are the way to go. but that's personal opinion, and not intended for debate. lol

    remember that the reason paris hilton's info was hacked into had nothing to do with GSM, it was the cpu servers that got hacked into.
