Hi everyone! I'm a newbie in this forum
I swear I searched a lot to find what I'm about to ask, in the internet and in the forum, but i did't find anything useful.
My girlfriend will stay in UK for four months because of her job. We're italian and spend really a lot to keep in touch, so i told her that many mobile operators offer internet connection with USB keys for few pounds, and were she lives she can't install a dsl connection.
I read that some operators such as Vodafone do not allow you to use IM and VoIP programmes (MSN Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, Pidgin, Skype, Wengophone...) with their internet plans. You see that without that kind of programmes it would be completely useless for us.
I heard that 3 has a good offer, but i don't know the details. Does someone know something more? Last question. As said above, due to her duties she'll stay for no more than 4 months, so i would also know if there are restrictions about the duration of the contract.
I hope this is the right place for this post...
Sorry for my English, I'm not very used with it

Re: Which mobile internet plan in UK do you suggest?
Hi,
Why dont you use mobile VoIP. I've used several of those different brands over the years and have no complaints. These days i am using a new mobile VoIP called Vopium.com There were some issues a while back, but in now they have been nearly 100%.
I would suggest you to try this service as they provide you with 30 free minutes to test their services.

Vopium launches in the UK
Vopium is launching its VoIP service in the UK, as part of its European expansion strategy announced last July. Vopium, which can be downloaded for free onto a mobile handset, offers low-cost and free international mobile phone calls.
The service can be downloaded from Vopiums website. New users can also register by sending a text message with Get to 07781480717. All new users will receive 30 free minutes of talk time and 100 free SMS.
