Why do some phones have SIM cards...and others don't? I was under the impression that every single cell phone operated with a SIM, telling it which network to operate under, holding all the info for the phone...so (like on my LG VX3200) why do some not have a place for a SIM card, or no SIM card at all? Are they hidden in the battery or some mysterious place I have yet to find?

I bought a cell phone on ebay and I made sure it was the same company as my current phone. but they are different brands (Nokia and Motorola) am I going to be able to use my new phone? Also I cant find the sim card in either - I read that some phones dont have them so now Im worried about losing my money and not being able to use either phone. Much appreciation to anyone that can help.

you can use your phone to u.s and canada.
if you want to change your service provider you can go for verizon or telus in canada.

go to www.cellularpager.com
email them first about your phone.
i think for $20 including s/h you can have your phone unlock, but you need to send your phone to them.
i try them twice and i have no complain.
if you sending your phone, make sure you send it USPS first class w/ delivery. confirmation.
