I make a lot of calls out of my cell phone based on a database on my computer. I would like to be able to have some sort of cable run from my computer to the cell phone which could initiate and terminate calls from a click of a button on the computer. I would also like the option of recording the conversations. Does this type of interface with the computer exist? What brands/models of cell phones could I do this with? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I need exactly the same thing. I'm surprised that there are no answers yet.

Is bluetooth an option? Because you can connect your phone to the computer and use some sort of a software. I know Nikia has a software that allows you to browse your phone from your PC but it is all done via bluetooth and not via cable.
