hi everyone i am going to get a new cellphone and i am not sure what to buy between the nokia n95 or the lg prada

I think they are for differetent segments...

Lets Compare the N95 and LG prada:

N95 is QuadBand (can be used with any gsm carrier in the us) has a microSD Memory Card slot and 160 MB internal memory. its Display is TFT with 16M colors.

For data transfer it has: GPRS Class 10 (32 - 48 kbps), HSCSD, EDGE Class 32 (296 kbps), DTM Class 11( 177 kbps), 3G HSDPA as well as has built in WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11.

It has a 5MP Carl Zeiss optics autofocus Camera & a secondary video call camera also has Built-in GPS navigation (Installed Maps application covering over 100 countries), MP3/AAC/AAC+/eAAC+/WMA player
Up to 6 hours of talk time.


Now The LG Prada is a TriBand (cant use it with cingular and any 850mhz freq. carrier)
Has a Memory Card slot microSD and 16 MB shared memory.
its Display is also TFT with touchscreen but only 256K colors.

For data transfer it has GPRS (32 - 48 kbps) and EDGE.

it doesnt have HSCSD, 3G or WLAN.

It only has a 2MP Camera and MP3/ACC/WMA play. talk time is only 3 hours.

N95 is a serious phone. -selling for its features
LG Prada is just for show. -selling from its brand name (reminds of of the nokia sirocco 8800)

Almost all of the reasons mentioned by Cellhutcom and more for choosing the N95 over the LG Prada is valid for choosing the 3G IPhone over the Prada in my opinion.

Its more of a mature phone
and also its a 5.5 or 5.0 MP for taking pictures.
Thats just my thought. Depends on your style.

if you in canada.. N95 is DIRT cheap now.

The Source (depending on location) has it free on a 3yr term.. some locations have it for 99$ on a 3 yr term.

Rogers recently dropped their prices (within past month from 399... to 299.. and now 199) on a 3yr term. If you do a HUP you should get a good price.


Iphone 3G messes w/ the account sometimes.. heard of credits being removed and incorrect charges. Also its advised to get a data plan as rogers/fido does updates which goes on data. email me for a story i know about this.
Also price is cheap on rogers.ca new activation.. about doubled for HUP typically. and about quadrupled on craigs
