The best idea yet, prolonging a batteries life is really a waste. Replacement batteries are CHEAP enough and I'm talking about OEM batteries. I paid $10 for 2 motorola batteries.

If your OEM batteries are years old, they're not going to perform at 100% capacity. Lithium Ion batteries decay over time from manufacture so if you want a fresh single battery you're better off buying as new as possible.

I always heard you weren't supposed to charge your phone until the battery was on the last bar. Otherwise you'll shorten the battery life.
    Yep...

    Nice informative article!
I just purchased a laptop. Don't want to mess up my 9 cell battery.

However, I have not experienced any battery life problem with my cellphones yet...

Wow, very informative. I certainly was not aware of the huge effect temperature has on the life of my battery.

Sort of... I'd have to pay between $90 and $100 for battery for my laptop. They still arent as cheap as i'd like them to be... It'd probably be cheaper for me to replace the individual cells in the battery than buy one from HP...
MUAHAHA!!! I have pwned the selection system! Verizon doesnt offer the Sanyo S1!

I've also pwned my phone... Gotta love the MSL, and ##DATA#

Has anyone of you tried to let the sunlight charge your battery? Some says its possible. They say you just have to put your phone battery in the open and the sun will do the job.
